KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR 2010/2011 Next school year may seem a long way off, but the Amherst School District is already thinking about our new kindergarten class for the 2010/2011 school year. Letters will be sent home to the families with older children registered in the district and to those families who have already contacted the schools for information on ou [+] Children’s author Mark Shulman will be visiting Smallwood! Children’s author Mark Shulman will be visiting Smallwood Drive School on Tuesday, April 6 and Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Mr. Shulman will meet with students throughout the day to talk to them about seeing themselves as good writers. He offers insight, advice and encouragement plus reading and anecdotes. This March the cafeteria will be making the switch from plastic utensils to reusable steel flatware.
